Artist Statement

My work is an exploration of texture and impermanence. I use oil on canvas to build and excavate layers, creating a visual history of marks and movements. Each piece is a dialogue between control and chance, a reflection on how memory is constructed, deconstructed, and rebuilt over time. I am drawn to the tensions between bold color fields and the subtlety of scraped-away surfaces, revealing the quiet narratives hidden beneath.
